Approved Jatropha plantation projects have the potential to generate additional income by being eligible for certificates of greenhouse gas emission reduction. The carbon reduction comes from the combination of sequestration of carbon dioxide and fuel switching.
IndoGreen is currently in discussions with a company specialising in developing, managing and providing consulting services to carbon emission reduction projects. They evaluate proposed projects, seek appropriate registration and certification and then market the resulting carbon assets in both Kyoto Protocol-related and voluntary markets.
